Christ Church Rector Eric Dudley

An experienced church rector based in Tallahassee, Eric Dudley has overseen the staff, budget, strategic planning initiatives, and volunteer work at Christ Church since 2020. He is also tasked with managing the Christ Church finance committee and all vestry work. Furthermore, Eric Dudley is responsible for worship activities at the church, such as preaching, teaching, and various aspects of pastoral care.

Eric Dudley previously served as the dean of St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral, also in Tallahassee. In the past, he spent a decade as the rector of St. John’s Episcopal and nearly six years as the associate rector at Christ Episcopal in Greenville, South Carolina.

Eric Dudley holds a degree in religion from Wofford College in South Carolina. He continued his education at Vanderbilt University, earning a master of arts in theology, followed by a graduate degree in homiletics and hermeneutics from Yale. When he is not leading activities at Christ Church, he enjoys staying active through cycling, tennis, building birdhouses, and reading, especially the works of Thomas Hardy, Anthony Trollope, and Somerset Maugham.
